Welcome to the Munciana Indy Volleyball Club and the 2023 club season. We are excited about the upcoming season. The club season provides
athletes the opportunity to develop their game. The success of our club revolves around athletes with high expectations and a great work ethic and a
coaching staff that is committed to teaching fundamentals and establishing a culture of excellence. Below you will find information about this year’s
tryouts and answers to frequently asked questions. New this year will be an all-inclusive payment plan. Therefore, tournament fees and coach’s
expenses will be part of the total payment plan.

REGISTRATION PROCESS ***PLEASE REGISTER EARLY. YOU MUST REGISTER PRIOR TO TRYOUTS
Register online at www.munciana.com. You will be directed from there to the PlayersFirst website where you will complete registration, pay the tryout
fee of $200.00, and register for an AAU membership which costs $14.00. Please note that the tryout fee payment is nonrefundable. It may be paid by
credit card or ACH during the registration process. To guarantee your registration is processed and ready for tryouts, plan to complete registration prior
to your first tryout date. No one will be allowed to tryout if they are not properly registered, and the tryout fee is paid.
What levels of teams do you have? 12-18 Open teams have one team per age group. National, Regional, and youth will have multiple
teams.
● Open/National: 13-14 age groups, practice 3 times/week in non-tournament weeks, play 10-12 tournaments, attend AAU Nationals,
participation fee is $2,550.00
● Open/National: 15-18 age groups, practice 3 times/week in non-tournament weeks, play 10-12 tournaments, attend AAU Nationals,
participation fee is $2795.00
● Open/National: 11-12 age group, practice 3 times/week in non-tournament weeks, play in 8-10 tournaments, attend AAU Nationals,
participation fee is $1,900.00
● Regional: 13-18 age groups, practice 2 times per week, play in 7-10 in-state events, finish season at Munciana Classic, participation fee is
$1700.00
● Regional: 10-12 age groups, practice 2 times per week, play in 7-10 in-state events, finish season at Munciana Classic, participation fee is
$1,050.00
What is the Regional program? The regional program is another option for athletes, providing a more economical level of participation, while still
getting trained the Munciana way. It gives someone the chance to play who might want a reduced time commitment because of another sport or
school activity, they are new to the sport, or physically they are not yet ready for the next level. Regional players will tryout at the same time as
Open/National teams.
What should I know about tryouts?
· In each age group Open, National, and Regional players will tryout at the same time.
· Please arrive early to check in (Check-in opens one hour prior to an age group tryout).
· Every athlete must get sized for uniforms prior to their first tryout date.
· Please come dressed and ready to tryout. Tryout shirts will be given to all athletes when you check-in.
· Players are expected to attend all tryout sessions. If a conflict arises, please contact the Munciana Indy office.
Which age group do I try out for?
18 and Under – Players who were born on or after July 1, 2004
17 and Under – Players who were born on or after July 1, 2005
16 and Under – Players who were born on or after July 1, 2006
15 and Under – Players who were born on or after July 1, 2007
14 and Under – Players who were born on or after July 1, 2008
13 and Under – Players who were born on or after July 1, 2009
12 and Under – Players who were born on or after July 1, 2010
11 and Under – Players who were born on or after July 1, 2011
10 and Under – Players who were born on or after July 1, 2012
*It is expected that players will try out in the age group they belong to.
How much are participation fees? They are based on the level and age of a team and are listed below. The participation fee includes coaching,
gym rental, insurance, administrative fees, a uniform package, and a recruiting fee for 15-18s Open & National. All athletes must pay the tryout fee
prior to the first tryout date for your age group, and it is non-refundable. After team selections, Payment (PF) #1 secures your spot on a team and is
non-refundable. It is due by October 8 for 10-14s, November 12 for 15-18s. Participation fees can be paid in full or a payment plan is available below.
During the registration process there is also a $14.00 AAU membership fee.
Two discount situations may apply when paying your participation fees. 1) If a family has multiple children playing, the first child playing will pay their
participation fee in full. Each additional sibling playing will receive a $100 discount. 2) If the full participation fee is paid when team selections are
made, the athlete/parent will receive a $100 discount. Please contact the Munciana office to apply for this discount.
**The non-refundable tryout fee is part of your total participation fee.
What other expenses are there besides the participation fee?
• Entry fees are divided among the athletes on a team and generally range from $350.00 to $750.00 per athlete, depending on the level of
team. Tournament entry fees are due no later than December 1 for all teams and are non-refundable.
• Coaches’ fees (travel expenses) are based on a team’s tournament schedule and will be collected 2 times throughout the season (Jan. 1 &
Feb. 15). Coaches’ expenses generally range from $350 to $1000 per athlete and are non-refundable.
• Uniforms will be shipped directly to the athlete’s home this year with a shipping charge of $12.99.
When will teams be selected? Team selections for 10-14s teams will be announced on Wednesday October 5. Team selections for the 15-18s
teams will be made on Friday, November 11. Payment #1 must be made by the respective due date to secure your spot on a team.
When do teams practice? Practices will begin Monday, January 2. Some teams may schedule practices earlier. Each team will have a set practice
schedule, although weekend practices will be adjusted to work around tournaments.
