Application Form

Application Fee
The non-refundable application fee is $40.
Academic Transcripts
Applicants must have degrees equivalent to a four-year degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States. An official
transcript is required from each college or university attended, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, whether or not you earned a
degree. To be considered official, transcripts must be sent directly from the issuing institution to The University of Tampa. If transcripts are
not in English, please submit a certified English translation. Transcripts must show specific subjects taken and the grade earned in each. If
grades are expressed in other than the American system (A, B, C, D, F) a statement from the school must accompany the transcript showing
the conversion of that grading system into the American system. If the school cannot provide such a conversion, the student must submit
transcripts and documents to a recognized international transcript evaluation consultant such as World Educational Services (www.wes.org)
for a course-by-course evaluation.
GMAT or GRE Score
Competitive verbal and quantitative scores on the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or Graduate Records Examination (GRE) are
required for all business graduate programs. The GMAT and GRE may be considered for waiver for the following programs:
• MBA full-time and part-time students who have completed a master’s degree at a regionally accredited institution
M.S. Finance applicants who have passed any level of the CFA exam or who submit sufficient evidence of three or more years of relevant
professional work experience within the past five years and have a business degree from an AACSB-accredited institution with a GPA of 3.0 or
better in relevant course work
M.S. Marketing applicants who submit evidence of three or more years of relevant professional work experience within the past five years
and have a business degree from an AACSB-accredited institution with a GPA of 3.0 or better in relevant course work
Executive MBA applicants who submit evidence of seven or more years of relevant professional work experience and have a degree from an
accredited institution with a GPA of 3.0 or better in relevant course work
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
International applicants whose native language is not English and who have not received degrees from institutions in English-speaking
countries are required to submit their TOEFL or IELTS score. The University of Tampa requires a minimum TOEFL score of 90 (577 paper-based;
230 computer-based) or a 6.5 on the IELTS exam. (In some cases, an English language proficiency interview may be conducted to determine
eligibility when an applicant’s score is slightly lower than the minimum required.) Information about the TOEFL can be obtained from the
Educational Testing Service at www.ets.org/toefl; learn more about the IELTS exam at www.ielts.org.
Applicants need not submit a TOEFL or IELTS score if:
• You have earned an undergraduate degree or graduate degree at a U.S. college or university
• Your total education was conducted in English in an English-speaking country
Professional References
