Chapman University C-TAG Articulation Agreement for Future Educators
The Chapman University (CU) C-TAG agreement is a transfer admissions guarantee with Santiago Canyon
College (SCC) for students in the teacher education pathway majors that are looking to major in the
Integrated Educational Studies (IES) major at CU. Students pursuing this major for either Elementary
Education or Special Education have the option of one of the following minors that are part of the IES
program:
Completion of IES Major/Minor articulated course requirements:
The following CU major preparation courses are required to be completed at SCC for direct admission into the
specific majors. All required major courses must have a minimum grade of a “C” or higher.

Completion of CU General Education (GE) Requirements:
a) Students who have full California State University-General Education Breadth certification (CSU-GE
Breadth) OR Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) certification OR an
Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) have met the minimum eligibility for transfer and will have
satisfied the majority of the GE requirements for CU.
b) Foreign Language General Education requirement: In order to meet this requirement students must
complete the 3rd semester of college level Foreign Language. However, students may take their
foreign language requirement as part of the IGETC or CSU GE Breadth or through their ADT.
Note: completing foreign language prior to transfer is not an admission requirement.
c) Students need not complete the full certification at the time of application but if doing so, CSU GE
Breadth or IGETC courses or the ADT must be completed prior to starting classes at CU.
Steps for admission to C-TAG:
Go to bit.ly/Chapman-Interest and complete C-TAG interest form.
Attend a C-TAG information Session. To register for Information Session call (714) 628-4928.
Schedule an appointment with a PTTP Counselor to review requirements, create a Comprehensive
Educational Plan, and submit a C-TAG Agreement.
Once the above steps are complete- PTTP will help schedule an appointment with the Chapman
University Admissions Advisor to discuss application process, financial aid, and scholarship
opportunities.
Make sure to complete the steps below by the deadlines.
o Apply for admission through the CU application process and meet all other admission
requirements. Apply at www.chapman.edu/apply
CU Application deadlines-Spring: October 15

Fall: February 15.
o Submit FAFSA or the California Dream Act application by March 2.
SCC students that have a 3.3 overall GPA or higher in all transferable classes and apply for
admission by the priority application deadline for either spring or fall semesters will be
considered for a minimum $12,000 merit/academic transfer scholarship AND an opportunity for a
C-TAG scholarship up to the full cost of tuition. Merit scholarship consideration is based on
college GPA and curriculum completed and is at the discretion of the Admission Committee at the
time of the admission decision.
By signing this agreement, I commit to staying on track with my educational plan, meeting regulary
with PTTP counselor and receive communication and support from Chapman University CTAG
representatives.
