RISE Germany

• 10 -12 week summer research internship in lab of
German doctoral student
• For Sophomores (2

year) and Juniors (3

) in
Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Geology,
Computer Science and Physics (need to have
fulltime student status upon return)
• No German language skills required
• Scholarship details
• € 861 per month, international travel subsidy &
health insurance; housing assistance provided
• Three-day RISE meeting for all grantees
• Opportunity to participate in 2-week intensive
language course before starting the internship

University Summer Course Grant

Terms of Award
• Study grant of up to $5,000 to be used toward tuition,
housing, travel, and related costs for up to one academic
year in Germany.
• Minimum 7 days
• For study and internships
Eligibility
• U.S. Citizen
• Undergraduate student in good academic standing
• Federal Pell Grant recipient
• In the process of applying for, or accepted to, a credit-
bearing study abroad or internship program in Germany
Study Scholarships - Master Studies for All Academic
Disciplines
• For graduating seniors, graduate students and
recent graduates (at time of application)
• Supports a full master's degree program at a
German university (2 years)
or one year of full-time coursework at a German
university as part of a Master's degree completed
in the home country
• German language ability should be
commensurate with needs
• € 934/month; insurance; travel stipend &
insurance coverage
