THE POSITION
A Police Records Specialist shall work with the
Records Supervisor & Lead Records Specialists.
They are responsible for performing department
functions in relation to the maintenance, security,
and confidentiality of police records in accordance
with State laws and Department policies. The
Police Records Specialist will assist with
preparing, retrieving, and maintaining a variety of
police related documents, and assisting Court
Services. Some duties include assisting citizens,
accepting/processing payments, cash handling,
and performing data entry. This is a high-volume
position that requires the ability to multitask and
ensure quality and compliance to meet urgent
daily deadlines. As an Emergency Services
employee, the applicant must be available to work
shift work, including nights, weekends, and
holidays.
