Our Mission

Helping the Forgotten Cats of Cleveland

Our mission is to provide food, water, shelter, and vet care for approximately 15 feral cat colonies on the near west side of Cleveland. Feral cats are altered and returned through Trap-Neuter-Return while social cats are placed in a home or with other rescues.

Lauren’s City Cats in the Flats was formed to combat the problem of cat abandonment and the resulting overpopulation, specifically in the Flats. Lauren Thomas was an avid cat lover and rescuer who was taken too soon as a result of cancer. Her single wish was for us to continue rescuing the cats. To honor her legacy, we named our organization after her.
