Table 8-011A-2 has been established to identify warrant officer positions where the job description
does not correlate directly with specific branch or MOS as described in this regulation. Branch/MOS
immaterial applies to those positions within the Army where duties require a broad spectrum of
knowledge of the organization and functions of the Warrant Officer Corps, but are not associated
directly with any specific branch or MOS. (An example: positions with this level of specificity would be
the Chief, Leader Development Branch, WO Division, HRC-Alexandria.)
Branch 12--Corps of Engineers
(Proponent: Engineer School)
Corps of Engineers is a combat arms branch of the Army, providing engineering support and coverage
for the combined arms commander throughout the continuum of army operations. Construction
Engineering Technicians provide construction, survey and design, and electrical engineering expertise
across the broad spectrum of engineer operations in a variety of units. Geospatial Engineering
Technicians provide the Army the necessary technical and tactical expertise to execute fundamental,
Geospatial Engineering functions supporting Army units at all echelons through the generation of
geospatial information, management and storage of enterprise geospatial databases for the Common
Operating Picture (COP), terrain analysis and visualization, dissemination of geospatial information on
both digital and hard copy, and the management of Geospatial Engineer operations.
Branch 13--Field Artillery
(Proponent: Field Artillery School)
Encompasses positions that provide fires to maneuver elements through the tactical and operational
employment of field artillery systems. Commands, directs, and controls field artillery units at all levels.
Directs technical fire control and firing operations using both manual and computer techniques.
Coordinates the collective employment of joint and combined fire support assets to include non-lethal
systems in support of the combined arms commander. Participates in the planning and development of
doctrine, organization, training, material, leadership and soldier initiatives to support the field artillery's
role in combined arms operations.
Branch 14--Air Defense Artillery
(Proponent: Air Defense Artillery School)
Air Defense Artillery is a combat arms branch of the Army, providing air and missile defenses for
theater CINCs, and coverage for the combined arms commander throughout the continuum of airland
operations. Air Defense Artillery ensures the force decisive victory with minimum casualties by allowing
freedom of maneuver and force protection. It also protects command and control centers that manage
the battle, enabling our forces to sustain the war by protecting logistical centers and other vital theater
geopolitical and military assets by destroying enemy aircraft, cruise, and tactical ballistic missiles. Air
Defense Artillery units maintain a high state of readiness for immediate worldwide deployment. In
peacetime, Air Defense Artillery warrant officers constantly train for their wartime mission. Additionally,
they are assigned to varied positions to include combat development, joint staff, and training activities.
The technological expertise of the Air Defense Artillery warrant officer must be extensive enough to
cover highly specialized weapon and command and control systems (PATRIOT, THAAD, JTAGS,
AMDPCS, and Bn TOCs). Air Defense Artillery warrant officers are authorized in Active and Reserve
Component units.
Branch 15--Aviation
(Proponent: Aviation Center)
Seven Areas of Concentration with 16 Military Occupational Specialties. Grade standards for aviation
warrant officer positions in TOE/MTOE and TDA organizations will be in accordance with grading
established in standards of grade tables 8-150A-1 through 8-156A-2. Encompasses operational flying
and non-operational flying warrant officer positions concerned with the employment and support of
Army aviation. Pilots rotary and/or fixed wing aircraft, conducts training, imparts instruction, manages
safety programs, supervises air traffic control, and supervises maintenance/repair of Army aircraft.
Conducts aero-medical evacuation, aerial scout, air assault, airlift, aerial reconnaissance, aerial fire
support, direct fire on enemy forces, aerial combat, and aerial supply and resupply missions. Performs
combat, combat support, or combat service support operations in support of the Army aviation mission.
Branch 17Cyber
(Proponent: U.S. Army Cyber School
Cyber Warfare Technicians supervise and manage the execution of Defensive Cyberspace Operations
Offensive Cyberspace Operations; Cyberspace Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance; and
CEMA Operational Preparation of the Environment. Electronic Warfare (EW) Technicians plan,
coordinate, and assess electronic attack, electronic protection, and EW support requirements. Both
technicians direct, plan, administer, manage, and integrate actions in support of cyberspace and EW
operations. They lead personnel and sections and manage the training of personnel on the planning,
administrating, managing, maintaining, integrating, and operating in specified operational environment.
They develop policy recommendations and provide technical guidance and advice to commanders and
staffs on the management and operation of Army, Joint, intergovernmental, interagency, and
multinational implications and applications of cyberspace and EW operations. They provide technical
expertise to integrate CEMA with war fighting functions. Cyber Technicians must understand
relationships, teamwork, and interpersonal dynamics, and have the ability to integrate these concepts
to achieve effects in cyberspace and the electromagnetic spectrum. They must be the consummate
professional; self-motivated and self-disciplined; and live the Army values. Cyber Technicians must
also possess the ability to build concise products.
Branch 18--Special Forces (Closed to women--see paragraph 6-12)
(Proponent: JFK Special Warfare Center and School)
Special Forces warrant officers are combat leaders and staff officers. They are experienced subject
matter experts in unconventional warfare and operations/intelligence fusion for planning and execution
at all levels across the operational continuum. They advise commanders on all aspects of special
operations. The Warrant Officer One (WO1), Chief Warrant Officer Two (CW2), and select CW3
warrant officer serve on the SFOD-A as the Assistant Detachment Commander or Commander in his
absence. The CW3-CW5 SF warrant officer serves as a staff operations warrant officer within the SF
Group, as well as at higher commands within SF, Army SOF and Joint SOF staffs. They may lead task
organized SOF elements as directed. They serve as the Senior Warrant Officer Advisor (SWOA) to the
Commander for all warrant officer matters and other interests as directed. Select CW5’s serve as the
SWOA to the SF Group and United States Army Special Forces Command (Airborne) commanders as
an integral part of the commander’s personal staff.
Branch 25--Signal Corps
(Proponent: Signal Center and School)
Provides rapid and reliable information systems to support the command and control of the Army's
combat forces during both peace and war. Manages, plans, designs, engineers, installs, operates, and
evaluates automation, communications, and visual information systems at all command levels within
the Department of the Army and the Department of Defense. Provides transmission, switching, and
control facilities for weapons systems, command and control systems, and combat service support
systems. Provides maintenance support for all of the Army's Signal equipment. In support of division,
corps, and theater combined arms operations, the Signal Corps installs, operates, a myriad of state-of-
the-art voice, data, and record tactical communications systems including telephone, cable, switching,
circuit control, high frequency radio, microwave, tropospheric scatter, and satellite. At the strategic
level, Signal units engineer, install, and operate the Army's portion of the Defense Communications
System and its interface with tactical communications elements at theater and corps. Together with its
Air Force and Navy counterparts, the Signal Corps manages and directs the operation of the global
defense automation, communications, and visual information systems serving the Department of
Defense and National Command Authority.
Branch 27--Judge Advocate General's Corps
(Proponent: The Judge Advocate General)
The judge advocate (branch) warrant officer is a leader and subject matter expert who manages,
operates, and sustains complex, multi-faceted legal operations, processes, and systems that serve the
Army and the Nation. The Legal Administrator embodies the essential characteristics of the Army
profession and lives the warrior ethos.
Branch 31--Military Police
(Proponent: Military Police School)
Manages criminal investigations and criminal investigation units in both the tactical and peacetime
environment. Supports the Army at all command levels by planning, coordinating, and directing criminal
investigations, crime prevention surveys, personal security operations, polygraph and crime laboratory
support, and counter-terrorism activities. Responsible to detect and report on-going felony crime which
could result in significant Army loss and reduced combat effectiveness.
Branch 35--Military Intelligence
(Proponent: Office Chief of Military Intelligence)
Manages 13 Military Intelligence (MI) functions, all of which are oriented toward the acquisition and
evaluation of information pertinent to the defense of the nation or the maintenance of electronic
equipment used in the acquisition and evaluation of such information. The diversity of functions
requires four subgroup of areas of concentration. The four AOCs are 350 (Military Intelligence); 351
(Human Intelligence); 352 (Signals Intelligence/Electronic Warfare); and 353 (Intelligence and
Electronic Warfare Equipment Repair).
Branch 42--Adjutant General
(Proponent: Adjutant General School)
Manages Army military personnel systems and Army bands. Supports the Army mission at all
command levels through system design, development and operation. Develops system refinements to
meet present and future mission requirements. Applies Army policy and procedural doctrine. Designs
and develops force structure.
Branch 60--Medical Corps
(Proponent: Office of The Surgeon General)
Provides health care and performs administrative duties in medical treatment facilities as assigned by
supervisor. Provides for preparation of reports and records including entries in clinical record forms and
maintenance of records relating to patient care. Supervises, or assists in supervising enlisted
specialists and comparable civilian employees in use, care, maintenance, and economy of medical
supplies and equipment. Organizes and conducts training of enlisted specialists and appropriate
civilian personnel in technical aspects of patient care and treatments.
Branch 64--Veterinary Corps
(Proponent: Office of The Surgeon General)
The Veterinary Corps (VC) is a special branch of the Army organized under the Army Medical
Department (AMEDD) that serves as the DoD executive agent for worldwide military veterinary
services. It is composed of commissioned officers that are graduates of schools of veterinary medicine
accredited by the Council of Education of the American Veterinary Medical Association and warrant
officers possessing MOS 640A. The Veterinary Corps encompasses those positions in which the
knowledge and skills required and the services performed are associated with the prevention of human
illness from food or animal sources, the wholesomeness and quality of subsistence, the health and
welfare of animals, and experimental and comparative biomedical research involving animals.
Branch 67--Medical Service Corps
(Proponent: Office of the Surgeon General)
Manages a program for the maintenance of medical materiel; trains and/or assists subordinates in
complex medical systems; manages a repair parts program; coordinates internal maintainers for
multiple MOS medical systems; coordinates external maintainers for multiple MOS medical systems;
operates a direct exchange program; acquires medical standby equipment or manpower support;
supervises controlled exchange of repair parts as a repair methodology; and provides hands-on
maintenance services as dictated by the casualty impact upon operable equipment.
Branch 74--Chemical Corps
(Proponent: Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear School (CBRNS))
Chemical, Biological, Nuclear and Radiological (CBRN) Warrant Officers provide in-depth technical
expertise in the areas of CBRN defense. Plans, coordinates, and directs CBRN operations and training
to include CBRN vulnerability assessment; multi-spectral obscuration; sensitive site exploitation and
assessment; CBRN reconnaissance; CBRN decontamination; CBRN force protection; combating
Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) which includes nonproliferation, counter proliferation,
consequence management, and identification of Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) (including Toxic
Industrial Chemicals (TIC) and Toxic Industrial Materials (TIM)); and defense support to civil
authorities. Plans, employs, and coordinates CBRN systems in support of joint, interagency,
intergovernmental, multinational (JIIM), and combined arms operations. Provides a broad base of
technical expertise in the area of CBRN modeling, simulations, and hazard prediction. Subject matter
expert that provides commanders (battalion through Army command) with recommendations on the full
range of CBRN operations and hazards. Plans, recommends, and evaluates CBRN training activities.
Plans, recommends, and evaluates the maintenance of CBRN defense systems. Prepare plans for
training, operations, supply and maintenance of CBRN units and personnel.
Branch 88--Transportation Corps
(Proponent: Office Chief of Transportation)
Manages the operation, maintenance of U.S. Army watercraft and movement control measures in both
the tactical and peacetime environments. Supports the Army at all command levels by planning,
coordinating, and directing the utilization of Army watercraft for logistics-over-the-shores (LOTS),
oceans, coastal, harbor, and inland waters (CHI) and movement control missions worldwide.
Responsible for the combat effectiveness of watercraft and personnel in support of the Army logistics
mission.
Branch 89--Ammunition
(Proponent: Chief of Ordnance)
Plans and directs the activities of Army units and organizations engaged in materiel management and
maintenance of missile rounds and their associated guidance, launching, handling, and test
equipment); and conventional munitions and warheads and associated maintenance, test, and handling
support equipment. Provides maintenance and calibration support for the Army’s conventional
munitions and warheads and associated maintenance, test and handling support equipment.
Branch 91--Ordnance
(Proponent: Chief of Ordnance)
Plans and directs the activities of Army units and organizations engaged in materiel management and
maintenance of armament, tank, engineer, and ground mobility equipment; missile systems. Provides
maintenance and calibration support for the Army's Test, Measurement, and Diagnostics Equipment
(TDME).
Branch 92--Quartermaster

Manages property book accounts, retail supply systems, airdrop systems, and food service programs in

spectrum of engineer operations in a variety of units. They provide subject matter expertise throughout
their careers to the commander and staff on matters relative to the construction of vertical infrastructure
in engineer construction operations.

There is one warrant officer specialty within this AOC. Geospatial Engineering Technicians (125D)
provide the Army the necessary technical and tactical expertise to execute fundamental, Geospatial
Engineering functions supporting Army units at all echelons through the generation of geospatial
information, management and storage of enterprise geospatial databases for the Common Operating
Picture (COP), terrain analysis and visualization, dissemination of geospatial information on both digital
and hard copy, and the management of Geospatial Engineer operations.
Area of Concentration 131--Target Acquisition
There is one warrant officer specialty within this AOC. The skills and knowledge required to qualify for
this specialty provides the Army with the necessary technical and tactical expertise to operate,
maintain, and repair the Army's field artillery target acquisition radar’s and to perform as a targeting

Manages personnel, supply, equipment, and facility assets to maintain and repair Army rotary and fixed
wing aircraft. Organizes maintenance elements to inspect, service, test, disassemble, repair,
reassemble, adjust, replace parts, and retest aircraft or aircraft components. Prepares, implements,
and maintains standing operating procedures for management of maintenance activities. Interprets
regulations, technical manuals, and orders pertaining to maintenance of Army aircraft for commanders
and subordinates. Supervises aviation equipment maintenance and repair shop, section, or platoon.
Directs maintenance and accountability of organizational test equipment, supplies, and recovery
equipment.
Area of Concentration 152--Rotary Wing Attack/Scout
Pilots and commands attack and scout helicopters under tactical and non-tactical conditions. Operates
aircraft during all types of meteorological conditions during day or night. Responsible for coordinating,
conducting, and directing combat attack/scout helicopter operations, joint air attack team operations
and indirect fire missions. Participates in anti-armor operations, reconnaissance missions, security
missions, and combat maneuver operations. Functions as a direct combat participant with organic

Area of Concentration 270--Legal Administration
a. The judge advocate (branch) warrant officer is a leader and subject matter expert who manages,
operates, and sustains complex, multi-faceted legal operations, processes, and systems that serve the
Army and the Nation. The Legal Administrator embodies the essential characteristics of the Army
profession and lives the warrior ethos.
b. The judge advocate (branch) warrant officer is a principal member of the leadership team and
subject matter expert in legal operations, processes, and systems. This officer is an adaptive technical
expert, advisor, trainer, and combat leader who possesses a broad knowledge base of all core legal
disciplines and the ability to operate in an ever-changing and increasingly complex environment. This
key leader operates in the strategic, operational, and tactical levels anticipating mission requirements
to systematically ensure the organization’s readiness and capability to support continually evolving
missions. The judge advocate (branch) warrant officer, through specialized training, certifications, and
experience is uniquely adept at integrating legal operations, processes, and systems with Army and
joint staffs, commands, and inter-agency organizations to meet mission requirements.
Area of Concentration 311--Criminal Investigation
The skills and knowledge within this AOC are necessary to perform highly technical and scientific
investigations to resolve and prevent felony and other crimes of Army interest.
Area of Concentration 350--Military Intelligence
Although dissimilar in both qualifications and employment, occupations within this AOC include four MI
warrant officer specialties. They are MOS 350F (All Source Intelligence Technician); MOS 350G
(Imagery Intelligence Technician); and MOS 350Z (Attache Technician. These MOSs perform duties
from the tactical and non-tactical brigade level to echelons above corps (EAC), OCONUS embassy
DoD support, and national and joint agencies.
Area of Concentration 351--Human Intelligence
More elements of commonality exist between the three specialties comprising this AOC than in AOC
350. Accordingly, selective cross training and utilization within AOC 351 are desirable during the latter
stages of the warrant officer's career. The MOSs associated with AOC 351 are 351L
(Counterintelligence); 351Y (Area Intelligence Technician); and 351M (Human Intelligence Collection
Technician).
Area of Concentration 352--Signals Intelligence/Electronic Warfare
Must have a thorough knowledge of SIGINT/EW operations, techniques, and reporting procedures.
Must demonstrate proficiency in collection management procedures, signal/antenna theory, and signal
analysis. Must know principals, concepts, theory, and operations of SIGINT/EW activities of designated
foreign countries. Manages, operates, maintains, and administers Army Intelligence equipment or
support activities while supervising the technical operations of teams, sections, platoons, detachments,
and companies engaged in traffic analysis, cryptanalysis, electronic intelligence, mode analysis, voice
intercept activities or communications intelligence, and EW.
Area of Concentration 353--Intelligence and Electronic Warfare (IEW) Systems Maintenance
Technician
The 353T IEW Systems Maintenance Technician is the only MOS within this AOC. A thorough knowledge
electronic theory, electronic warfare (EW) equipment, intercept equipment, electronics and maintenance s
general supply procedures are required. Equ
ipment systems range from manpack units to huge, fixed sta
purpose systems, thus requiring diversity of detailed knowledge and the capacity for correlating the result
diagnostic procedures.
Area of Concentration 420--Personnel
There are two warrant officer specialties within this AOC. The skills and knowledge required to qualify for
specialties are those necessary to manage Army military personnel systems and Army bands.
Area of Concentration 600--Health Care Delivery
There is one warrant officer specialty within this AOC. The skills and knowledge required to qualify for
this specialty provide technical assistance to the Army's health care program.
Area of Concentration 640Veterinary Services
a. There is one warrant officer specialty within this AOC. The Veterinary Corps Food Safety Warrant
Officer is a specialized Soldier who is an expert in the areas of food safety, food defense and quality
assurance. These highly educated warrant officers are skilled in all matters of food inspection
technology, commercial sanitation audits, installation sanitation, laboratory procedures and
understanding of food science. They are appointed by the Secretary of the Army, based upon a sound
level of technical and tactical competence. They are a highly specialized experts and trainers that
through progressive levels of expertise use their leadership and technical skills to continually ensure
the food safety and food defense for all DOD personnel.
b. The Veterinary Corps Food Safety Officer is a specialized Soldier who is an expert in the areas of
food safety, food defense and quality assurance. These highly educated warrant officers are skilled in

Serves as the only specialty trained maintenance officer in the Army Medical Department. Manages the
health facility maintenance requirements by applying technical knowledge and technical management
skills. Supervises the technical and tactical performance of a myriad of maintainer MOSs. Manages
maintenance operations of various types and sized. Advises on equipment systems compatibility,
replacement, and economical retention. Evaluates performance and quality of equipment through an
analysis of maintenance indicators.
Area of Concentration 740--Chemical Corps
There is one warrant officer specialty within this AOC. The skills and knowledge required to qualify for
this specialty provide technical expertise to manage, operate the Army’s Chemical, Biological,
Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) defense.
Area of Concentration 880--Marine Operations
There is one warrant officer specialty within this AOC. The skills and knowledge required to qualify for
this specialty provides technical expertise to manage, operate, and maintain the Army's watercraft.
Area of Concentration 881--Marine Maintenance
There is one warrant officer specialty within this AOC. The skills and knowledge required to qualify for
this specialty provides technical expertise to operate, maintain, repair, and overhaul engineering
equipment on Army marine vessels.
Area of Concentration 890--Ammunition
There is one warrant officer specialty within this AOC. The skills and knowledge required to qualify for
this specialty provides the Army with technical expertise to manage and maintain the Army’s
ammunition and missile explosive components.
Area of Concentration 910--Ammunition

There is one warrant officer specialty within this AOC. The skills and knowledge required to qualify for
this specialty provide the expertise to inspect, maintain, and repair the Army's armament systems.
Area of Concentration 914--Allied Trades
There is one warrant officer specialty within this AOC. The skills and knowledge required to qualify for
this specialty provide technical expertise to Army's allied trade field.
Area of Concentration 915--Automotive Maintenance
There are two Warrant officer specialties within this AOC. Military Occupational Specialties (MOS)
915A (Automotive Maintenance Warrant Officer) and MOS 915E (Senior Automotive Maintenance
Warrant Officer/Senior Ordnance Logistics Warrant Officer). The skills and knowledge required to
qualify for these specialties provide the Army the technical expertise to train and develop mechanics
and maintenance supervisors in any type of military unit or organization, manage complicated and
diverse repair operations and direct military and civilian technical personnel performing unit, direct
support, general support and depot level maintenance on ground combat vehicles, tactical vehicles,
support equipment and commercial equipment. These officers are leaders of diverse combat service
support sections, platoons and in some cases detachments and companies, and act as a primary
technical advisor to commanders at all levels, subject matter experts in the field of ground equipment
maintenance and repair and trainers of all tasks associated with achieving equipment operational
readiness objectives in Army units.
Area of Concentration 919-- Engineer Equipment Repair
There is one warrant officer specialty within this AOC. The skills and knowledge required to qualify for
this specialty provide technical expertise to operate, maintain, and repair the Army's engineer
equipment.
Area of Concentration 920--Supply
There are two warrant officer specialties within this AOC (neither of which are interchangeable), that
provide two separate tracks of technical expertise towards implementing the Army's supply accounting
and management policy below the wholesale level.
Area of Concentration 921--Airdrop Operations
Provides technical guidance to commanders and staff of activities with the mission of
conducting/receiving airborne and/or airdrop operations. Supervises inspection of parachutes and
parachute components to detect flaws in materials and workmanship. Supervises packing of
parachutes. Ensures that unserviceable, non-repairable, and overage parachutes are retired from
inventory. Supervises airdrop rigging activities and airdrop equipment maintenance activities. Maintains
compliance standards and criteria for life support systems and other airdrop equipment. For pre
requisites on qualifying and maintaining MOS 921A (Airdrop Systems Technician) refer to Army
Regulation (AR) 750-32.
Area of Concentration 922--Food Service Operation
Coordinates and supervises the Food Service Program for installations, commands or organizations to
include dissemination of information; managing personnel; determining technical training requirements;
developing and conducting training for officer, enlisted, and civilian personnel; and developing
management plans for food service. Develops and coordinates implementation of dining facility
modernization and new construction programs. Develops, coordinates, and monitors budget
requirements for food service equipment and expendable supplies for both garrison and field
requirements. Plan, train and implement changes in nutritional awareness programs, modification of
menus, and implementation of low calorie menus. Coordinates with Troop Issue Subsistence Activities
(TISA) and Class I points to ensure availability of appropriate subsistence for both garrison and field
feeding operations to ensure adequate timely resupply and to ensure reconfiguration of non-unitized
field rations into nutritionally acceptable menus. Evaluates field feeding requirements and develops
milestone plans to support major field exercises. Reviews and monitors requisitions for Class I, III, and
IX supplies to support food service operations, and coordinates all planning for food service support for
field training. Trains and oversees Class I supply distribution operations and ration break personnel in
the acquisition, receipt, storage, shipment and accountability for subsistence, water, ice, religious
operational rations and health and comfort packs. Evaluates garrison and field feeding operations to
ensure food service personnel are complying with food service regulations relative to food preparation,
service, accountability and sanitation. Ensure that medical surveillance is conducted on Prepositioned
War Reserve Stocks (PWRS). Develop menus and coordinates with Defense Supply Center
Philadelphia (DSCP) to ensure that PWRS nearing expiration date are integrated into future feeding
plans for consumption. As a Contracting Officer Representative (COR), and/or the Contracting Officer
Technical Representative (COTR), inspects full food service contract dining facilities to ensure they are
in compliance with the terms of the contract. In the absence of qualified medical personnel, exercises
surveillance and condemnation of suspect or spoiled subsistence. Detects waste, fraud and abuse of
subsistence and takes appropriate action.
Area of Concentration 923Petroleum Technician
Monitor and supervise units engaged in petroleum operations. Monitor acquisition, storage, inspection,
testing, issue and distribution of petroleum products. Serve in staff positions requiring petroleum
experience. Determine bulk and packaged petroleum product requirements, storage space
requirements and quality surveillance requirements. Recommend location of petroleum pipeline
routes, terminals, supply points and depots; advises on bulk petroleum distribution system design.
Directs preparation of report and maintenance of records pertaining to petroleum accounting and
distribution operations. Supervise the operations and user maintenance of petroleum pipelines, hose
lines, terminals and dispensing systems. Supervise the loading and discharge of ocean-going tankers
and other petroleum vessels. Perform and supervise quality surveillance throughout the petroleum
distribution system. Supervise the operation of base or mobile laboratories in testing of petroleum
products. Supervise performance of standard physical and chemical tests, evaluates test results to
ensure products meet Federal and military specifications, and recommends disposition of off-
specification or captured petroleum products. Develop, supervise and coordinate unit procedures and
programs on the environmentally sound handling of petroleum products. Monitor waste disposal
procedures for waste produced by unit petroleum operations. Report unit petroleum spills per
applicable laws, regulations and policies. Monitor until spill containment and clean up operations.
Area of Concentration 948--Electronic Maintenance
There are three warrant officer specialties within this AOC. Military Occupational Specialties (MOS)
948B (Electronics Systems Maintenance Warrant Officer), MOS 948D (Electronic Missile Systems
Maintenance Warrant Officer), and MOS 948E (Senior Electronics Maintenance Warrant Officer). The
skills and knowledge required to qualify for these specialties provide the Army with the expertise to
train and develop electronics maintenance maintainers and supervisors at all levels. These warrant
