Start your CSU Application
Step 1
1. Go to www.csumentor.edu
2. Click on the “Apply Online” tab.
3. Click on the “Undergraduate Admissions
Applications”.
4. Click on the box with the Year and Semester
you wish to apply for.
5. IF you already HAVE an account, log in with
your Username and Password on the right side
of the screen and proceed to Step 3. IF you DO
NOT have an account, proceed to Step 2.
Step 2
1. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on
“Create an Account”.
2. On Screen 1 of 3, please provide the following
information:
a. Name
b. Date of Birth
c. Email Address (input twice)
-It is recommended that you set up an email
specifically for your university applications.
Check your email (including junk mail)
regularly.
d. Username and Password
-Please make sure to write it down so you
don’t forget it.
e. Password Hint and Answer
3. Click “Next”
4. On Screen 2 of 3, please provide the following
information:
a. Mailing Address
b. Phone Number
c. Current Grade Level: COLLEGE JUNIOR
-Failure to note that you are a college junior
will result in application questions about high
school that you do not need to answer.
d. How you heard about CSUMentor.
e. Click “Next”
5. Screen 3 of 3 is a “Congratulations” message for
the new CSUMentor account that you created.
6. Click on “Next Page” and proceed to Step 3.
Step 3
1. Select a campus from the drop-down list and click
on “Start New Application”
2. Read message from the campus for information
on completing the application.
3. Click on “Begin Application” at the bottom of the
page, and begin your application.

Please provide your full name or username, your telephone number or email address, any details you remember about
what you were entering or clicking on when the problem occurred, and the heading/title or WWW address of the screen
you were working on.
Tips:
You do not have to finish the application in one sitting. You can save your information and come back to it.
You may request to have the fee of your university application waived. The online fee waiver application is
available at the end of your application.
