The Arithmetic Reasoning & Mathematics Knowledge tests measure a
test taker’s ability to solve problems representing some of the key
concepts in mathematics. Some problems will only test one concept,
while others will involve multiple concepts integrated together in a
single problem.
The problems will have few technical terms, aside from basics, such as
area, perimeter, integer, and ratio, which are expected to be common
mathematical knowledge. All figures shown will be drawn accurately
and lie in a single plane, unless noted otherwise.
Number Types
Integers, Odd and Even Numbers, Prime Numbers, Digits
Integers…, -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, …
Consecutive Integers: Integers that follow in sequence; for
example, 22, 23, 24, 25. Consecutive Integers can be more
generally represented by n, n + 1, n + 2, n + 3, …
Odd Numbers…, -9, -7, -5, -3, -1, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, …
Even Numbers…, -8, -6, -4, -2, 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, … (Note: zero is
an even number)
Prime Numbers…, 2, 3, 4, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, … (Note 1 is not a
prime and 2 is the only even prime)
Digits: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
